This was the first time Redentor (or Gabby) and I saw each other since I had moved to Chicao, IL  in August 1976. It was the very first time Malou and I met in person after having only communicated via Facebook. It is an  alphasyllabary  belonging to the family of the  Brahmic scripts . It was widely used in  Luzon  and other parts of the  Philippines  during the 16th and 17th centuries before being supplanted by the  Latin alphabet .
