I didn’t have the time to fully process what was going on and slowly found myself getting lost in the motions. But I’m ready now. So to fill you in on what’s been happening. Let’s rewind a bit.

Balikbayan 2013 Flashback Parañaque, Metro Manila Philippines. June 30, 2013. Thank you Redentor, Weng, and Gabinete family for hosting Malou, Tess and me in your beautiful home. This was the first time Redentor (or Gabby) and I saw each other since I had moved to Chicao, IL  in August 1976. It was the very first time Malou and I met in person after having only communicated via Facebook. To recap, our grandparents were Reyes-Altmirano siblings: Perfecto Altamirano Reyes - Lualhati Reyes Perseveranda - J.F. (Jonjo)  Adelaida Altamirano Reyes  - Catalina Sarmiento Espinas - Maria (Malou)   Osias Altamirano Reyes - Lozaida Reyes Gabinete - Redentor (Gabby) Sayang, I didn't get to visit Lipa, from where our grandparents came. Trip to Batangas: Monte Maria

KUMUSTA KABAYAN 🇵🇭 Monte Maria is located in Batangas City. The beautiful statue of Monte Maria is up to the 17th floor, but you need to pay 150 per head first. After that, you will see the miracle glass walk, which will open in December because it is not finished yet.  Mother of All Asia – Tower of Peace The Mother of All Asia–Tower of Peace is a monument shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary as a symbol of unity and peace in Asia and the whole world. It is located at the center of the eight-hectare pilgrimage site called Montemaria International Pilgrimage & Conference Center in Sitio Montemaria, Barangay Pagkilatan, Batangas City, Philippines. It is the world's tallest statue of the Virgin Mary at 98.15 m (322.0 ft) which includes the plinth/building it stands on.
